Religious Education/Worship
The school follows the national programme for Religious Education, “Here I Am”.
Assemblies at Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Primary School are always of a religious nature and daily acts of worship reflect the Catholic nature of the school. In addition, Holy Mass is celebrated in school throughout the year and on Holy Days the entire school celebrates Mass in church alongside the Parish Community.
On Friday afternoon we have whole school assemblies that are in effect celebrations of the week’s achievements. Each class takes it in turn to present an assembly based on “Here I Am”. The parents of the children in that particular class will receive an invitation to this assembly.
There is a collective act of worship in the school each day. We regard this daily assembly as an important part of the child’s experience and development.
